Salary Details: Grade C

Hours of Work: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (time negotiable), 40 week contract (term time plus 1 week)

Job/Person Summary

We are seeking to appoint a Finance (HR) Assistant with strong interpersonal skills who is warm, friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, flexible and pro-active to assist our Headteacher and work alongside our Admin Team in our busy office. We would love to hear from you if you are a calm, reliable, helpful person who can cope under pressure, can multi-task and can work accurately despite being interrupted often.

Responsibilities will include all work to do with Payroll and IBC, Health & Safety, Data Protection and human resources. You will be responsible for our Lunchtime and Cleaning Teams, organise school lettings, manage the Health and Safety calendar and oversee First Aid, amongst other things! You will need to be able to ensure the school operates effectively meeting Health and Safety standards and help to organise policies and procedures for the governors.

  • act in a calm and positive manner, communicating confidently with children, staff, parents, governors, visitors, outside agencies, contractors and the general public

You will also need to:

  • enjoy working with children * be able to support first aid and medical needs
  • be supportive of health and safety and be able to attend training to support this within the school
  • have a good sense of humour
  • be intuitive and excellent at multi-tasking
  • have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, IBC and SIMS and excellent English written skills.
